Drainage and flood context
Much of the borough is low-lying fen. Planning maps place large parts in Flood Zone 3; day-to-day risk depends on defences and Internal Drainage Boards. We do not assess flood risk for any address — use the Environment Agency’s check long-term flood risk service.
Boston town
Town Centre, Skirbeck, Fenside, Witham, Trinity, Staniland and St Thomas, with Wyberton on the southern edge. We do not publish a page per neighbourhood.
Wyberton
Near the South Forty Foot Drain. In January 2025 about 38 homes on Wyberton West Road and Park Road had internal flooding after the drain overtopped. That is context for gutters and flat-roof outlets — not an assessment of your plot.
Kirton, Frampton, Kirton End and Kirton Holme
About four miles south (PE20). Pitched village stock and garage flats. Black Sluice catchment.
Swineshead, Bicker and Wigtoft
West of Boston. Older SFRA work treated Swineshead as lower mapped hazard than the town and eastern parishes.
Fishtoft, Freiston, Butterwick and Benington
East toward the Wash. Wind on ridges and flat-roof edges after named storms.
Sutterton, Algarkirk, Fosdyke and Fosdyke Bridge
South A16 / A17 corridor. More agricultural spans.
Old Leake, Wrangle, Leverton and Leake Commonside
Coastal-fringe PE22. More exposure than inland Swineshead.
Hubbert’s Bridge, Brothertoft, Holland Fen and Amber Hill
Open fen. Same-day emergency attendance is more weather-dependent than in PE21 streets.
